The old is in

Carebears! It's so nice to walk into the store and be filled with childhood memories of a strawberry shortcake doll that blew strawberry smelling kisses and my little ponies with tails and mains to comb and CAREBEARS! Ava apparently loves the new carebear my mom gave her for Valentines Day. She walks around giving it hugs and kisses all day. A kiss ususally means the purple carebears' entire nose being completley engulfed by Ava's mouth. It's as big as she is but she manages to get around with it.

The other day I was getting ready to feed her dinner and I took off her shirt so it wouldn't get stained and she looked up and me and said "Bath?". This girl is so smart! She understand almost all simple commands not like get your shoes, or get the ball, or get your bear. She just seems too little to already be understanding so much.

Now as for Tyler, well I think he has some baby fever. He came up to me a few days ago and said "I want you to have another baby. I want to have a sister for Ava to play with." How sweet but how totally unrealistic! Seriously, there will be no talk of babies in this house for AT LEAST a few more years. PERIOD!

While we were shopping yesterday he comes up to me and says, "I have a flat, can you fix it?". Then he lifts his untied shoe up. I am assuming a "flat" is an untied shoelace.

Ok, now remember the green cricket arguement I had with him about a week or 2 ago about crickets being green? If not here it is again for you to read...............

"Tyler is, well, Tyler. He is all knowing and beautiful. He believes that crickets are green and grasshoppers are not. We got into a discussion today about it and let me give those of you who have not been blessed with one of these debates, give in, he will always win. I tried to explain to him tonight that he will miss out on some important lessons in life if he thinks he is always right, his response, "But I am always right". *sigh* "

Well I found a book about bugs and showed him that grasshoppers where green but some could be brown and that crickets were indeed brown and NOT green as I had told him before. Well today we watched Sagwa The Chinese Siamese Cat and he told me from the very beginning to just watch, there is such a thing as green crickets. I was half asleep still since it was 7:30 am and just said uh huh. Sure enough a singing green cricket was in the program. This is not going to be good with his already inflating self assurance. I guess we can all learn a little just by listening, even if its only to a four year old.
